If you have lived in Nocatee for more than a year, you already know the choreography of the original Town Center. Park once near Crosswater Parkway, drift between Publix and the fountain, grab dinner at Chophouse or a coffee before the school run. That single-node routine is changing this summer, and it has nothing to do with a new tenant sign. A second commercial core is coming online roughly a mile west, off Valley Ridge Boulevard, and the way residents move through the neighborhood is about to have two anchors instead of one.

This post is a working map of that shift. What just opened, what is scheduled, and what it changes about your Saturday morning.

The Original Core Just Reshuffled Itself

The most useful thing to know about the existing Town Center is that the tenant mix rotated in the first half of 2026, and the rotation was not random. Salata, the build-your-own salad and wrap concept, officially opened its newest Florida location at Nocatee Town Center at 641 Crosswater Parkway, Suite B, on April 6, brought in by local franchise owners Jason and Sandy O'Hara. That address matters. The new location takes over the former Coastal Wine Market & Tasting Room space.

Coastal Wine did not close. It relocated to another spot within Nocatee Town Center, next to Chophouse. The practical result is a cluster forming on the Chophouse block: a steakhouse with a rooftop bar, an expanded wine and tapas concept adjacent to it, and now a health-forward lunch anchor a short walk away. If you had been treating Town Center as a food-court-style loop, it is now closer to two small districts stitched together by the fountain lawn.

A few operator details worth holding onto:

• Salata offers six salad bases, over 50 toppings, and 11 house-made proprietary dressings prepared daily, with hours Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• On opening day, Salata Nocatee donated 25% of proceeds to HUGS St. Johns, a local nonprofit supporting children with emergency clothing, food, school supplies, and essential resources. That is a useful signal about how the owners plan to sit inside the community.
• Chophouse at Nocatee remains the upscale anchor, with high-end cuts of steak, fresh seafood, wine and bourbon, and dining options that include an inside bar, main dining room, ground-level patio, private and semi-private dining rooms, and a covered rooftop bar.

Marketplace at Nocatee: The Second Anchor Off Valley Ridge

Now the part that changes the geometry of the neighborhood. Publix Supermarket is opening a new location in the coming-soon Marketplace at Nocatee shopping center located off Valley Ridge Boulevard on the west side of Nocatee Town Center, and this Publix will also include a Publix Liquors and a pharmacy drive-thru. Marketplace at Nocatee will eventually include the Publix, restaurants, office space and additional neighborhood services.

Marketplace is not an expansion of the original Town Center. It is a second retail hub, and it is beginning to fill in. SoFresh has been announced as the first restaurant coming to Marketplace at Nocatee, with fresh, made-to-order dining expected in Late Summer 2026. SoFresh is a fast-casual restaurant known for its chef-crafted bowls, salads, wraps, quesadillas, and smoothies. A Grand Opening event is planned featuring a $5 Meal Deal for any bowl, wrap, salad, or quesadilla with one protein, with the official date to be announced closer to opening.

Residential density is showing up alongside the retail. Velara Apartments opens Summer 2026, developed by Thompson Thrift as a 312-unit Class A multifamily community off Burbank Avenue in the western interchange of the Town Center, south of Bainbridge, with the first residents expected to move in during Summer 2026. Three hundred and twelve units within walking distance of a full-line Publix and a fast-casual restaurant lineup is a specific kind of anchor. It converts Marketplace from a strip of tenants into a walkable everyday-errand center for a large group of people who will never have to drive to the Crosswater side for basics.

Farther out, Fleet Landing Nocatee is scheduled to open in 2027 as a luxury retirement community for adults ages 62 and older, with independent living options that include single-family homes and apartments and resort-style amenities. Two different demographics arriving inside the same walking radius shapes what restaurants and services actually survive there.

The Split, at a Glance

Two Publix stores inside one master-planned neighborhood is the detail that tells you the developer expects the west side to hold its own weight, not to feed traffic back east.

Third Saturday Still Holds the Center

While the retail map fractures, the community calendar is doing the opposite. The Farmers Market has quietly become the single event that pulls both sides of Town Center to the same place on the same morning. The Nocatee Farmers Market runs at Nocatee Station Field on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with 70-plus local vendors.

If you have not been in a few months, the summer schedule is straightforward. Upcoming market dates include Saturday, June 20, Saturday, July 18, and Saturday, August 15. The June kickoff set the tone for the season. Local residents gathered Saturday, June 20, at Nocatee Station Field to celebrate the start of summer, with live music by Rayne Marie and more than 70 vendors on hand with produce, handmade crafts, jewelry, herbs, and unique foods. The primary sponsor was Palm Valley Family Medicine.

The address to save is 400 Nocatee Center Way, Ponte Vedra, FL 32081. On market Saturdays, Station Field is the one location that draws foot traffic from both the Crosswater corridor and the western pocket where Velara residents will be moving in.

What the Two-Node Layout Actually Changes

Three practical shifts for people who already live here.

Your default grocery run gets shorter, or longer, depending on where you live. Households in the western villages have effectively been driving past future Marketplace to reach the Crosswater Publix. Once the second store opens, that trip compresses. Households east of the interchange keep the store they already know. The neighborhood is not getting more retail so much as it is getting retail closer to more front doors.

The dining lineup is stratifying by occasion, not by cuisine. With Salata now on Crosswater and SoFresh coming to Marketplace, Nocatee has two fast-casual bowl-and-wrap concepts inside the same square mile. That is not redundancy. It is a signal that the operators expect the customer pools to stay separate most weekdays. Chophouse and Coastal Wine & Tapas hold the evening and celebration slot on the east side. The west side is being built for the weekday lunch and after-work grab.

Third Saturday is now the connective tissue. As the physical center of gravity divides, the Farmers Market at Station Field becomes the shared calendar event that keeps residents from the two nodes actually seeing each other.
